Paleo Diet

Hey guys, I want to share with you guys what the Paleo diet consists of, and what you can expect from following this diet plan.

WHY would someone want to choose the Paleo diet? Some of the reasons follow.
1. Weight Loss
2. Skin will clear up and start to glow
3. Anti-Inflammatory reasons, less risk for face blushing, rashes on body.
4. You'll be eating real food so you'll more than likely feel fuller for longer and in turn not have cravings for sugar or whatever it is you like throughout the day.
5. Less risk of diseases because paleo foods have no additives, preservatives, and chemicals.
6. Save money by spending less money on doctor because you don't get sick as much having a healthy diet.

Okay WHAT is the Paleo Diet.
Paleo diet limits our food consumption to only foods we can hunt or gather. I've also heard people before call it the Caveman diet, they are NOT kidding. When applying this diet into your so called arsenal of foods to eat. ASK yourself if a caveman couldn't get his hands on it, than it's probably not in the Paleo diet, like a double mac from BK or any thing that is packaged from mankind.

There are plenty of yummy foods in the Paleo diet for your taste buds to be satisfied.
Not going to name everything because that would be boring but foods I eat on a daily basis that are all in the Paleo diet are as followed.
Proteins include: chicken, eggs, fish, pork, red meat, and shrimp.
Fruits include: apples, avocados(my FAV) Bananas, grapes, lemons, and tomatoes.
Vegetables include: any green leafy vegetable, broccoli, carrots, cucumbers, and sweet potatoes.

Shopping for the Paleo Diet.
Make it easy on yourself stay out of the aisles in the grocery store, if you shop around the store, like literally around the store only on the outside, you'll most likely be running into fresh produce, and meats. Things in the aisle are good for the 20% of our rule we went over or you'll be getting to soon.

You're probably thinking oh gosh I'll never be able to stick to only things I can hunt or gather like fruits, vegetables, and lean meats.

But remember the old saying, EVERYTHING in MODERATION.

I have been following the 80/20 rule and it's helped me a great deal. That is eat healthy 80% of the time, and the other 20% enjoy a snack and reward yourself for treating your body right 80% of the time. So enjoy a nice pint of Ben & Jerry's from time to time like I'll do on movie nights. And remember, it's progress not perfection. Fresh start fitness is the place where you'll learn there's no need to have regret, the only focus should be on the day and time you're in right now. Because tomorrows a new beginning, a fresh start!
